Generate AI Policy

Journal of Islamic Thought and Contemporary Studies recognizes the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing and research. To maintain academic integrity, the following policies apply:

1.   AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, etc.) may only be used for technical assistance such as grammar correction, language polishing, or formatting.

2.      AI-generated text or data cannot be accepted as original scholarly contribution. Authors remain fully responsible for the content, accuracy, and originality of their manuscripts.

3.      Any use of AI tools must be transparently disclosed in the acknowledgments or methodology section.

4.   Undisclosed or inappropriate use of AI that leads to plagiarism, fabrication, or manipulation will be treated as research misconduct and may result in rejection or retraction.
